The program will provide an education to rural and vulnerable girls and improve the quality of education services for all children in rural communities for 2,000 children in 9 different schools in Samlout and Pailin in Cambodia. The project will include:

  1. Early Childhood Care and Development(ECCD)+ Kindergarten

  2. Sports

  3. Eco-ranger clubs

  4. School library and mobile libraries

  5. School gardens (school veggie gardens and Happy Cow book)

  6. Professional learning for teachers

  7. Scholarship

  8. Women Empowerment activities

Early Child & Development class (ECCD)

 

There are three kindergarten classrooms in Samlout and two classrooms in Pailin. Each of the classrooms are located in a primary school. The number of students in each school are from 20 to 30 depends on the school location.

 

The ECCD activities focus on:

  • Professional Learning for Teachers

  • Provide materials and produce for teaching and learning

  • Teacher capacity building

  • Child Friendly Classroom

  • Parents meeting

Primary School

PRD works with 8 primary schools, five schools in Samlout and three schools in

Pailin. There are 1316 students in total include 605 girls.

​

The activities focus on:

  • Sports club

  • School libraries

  • Professional development workshop

  • School garden

  • Kunthea and The Happy Cow (Cow Conservation)

  • Scholarship for girls

  • School Hygiene and sanitation
